About the Ministry of I&W

The Ministry of I&W sought an effective way to gather employee feedback and conduct valuable conversations, especially after the challenges of prolonged remote work during the COVID-19 period. By using the 2DAYSMOOD tool, they can generate up-to-date data and implement targeted improvements.

The challenge

The Ministry of I&W wanted to move away from traditional annual employee satisfaction surveys that did not yield the desired results. They needed up-to-date data and trend analyses to act quickly. In January 2022, they began measuring moods and satisfaction, resulting in a significantly higher response rate from 30% to 70%. This allowed them to have valuable conversations and identify concrete areas for improvement.

The result with 2DAYSMOOD

By using employee feedback, the Ministry of I&W was able to implement concrete actions such as the Vitality Calendar. Within five weeks, they deployed in-depth question modules that provided valuable insights. For example, the question ‘I get enough sleep’ scored reasonably well but revealed that 25% of employees were not getting sufficient sleep. This led to targeted actions like mindfulness training and sleep tips.

At the quarterly meeting, vitality and resilience were the focus, helping to achieve physical and mental vitality goals. Linking concrete actions to employee feedback is essential, says Menno: “People need to see that something is being done with it, otherwise they feel that filling out the questionnaires leads nowhere.”

"The 2DAYSMOOD tool is ideal for visualizing employee feedback. We don't want 2DAYSMOOD to replace personal conversations, but rather to facilitate, support, and lead to valuable discussions."
