The vision and values of an organization are a determining factor for employees’ involvement and job satisfaction. After all, it is the guidelines that represent business ethics. They show how the organization sees itself now and in the future. Employees want to recognize themselves in this to feel at home at work.

They are one of the 15 drivers in the scientific Employee Happiness Model®.

Improve employee engagement through drivers

It is important to gain insight into what makes your employees enthusiastic, happy and productive. What are their motives? You can find this out by scanning the 15 factors of engagement. This message must be coherent, credible and represent the values of the company. Positive influences on employee engagement

  • You can find yourself in the vision and core values
  • Recognizing and rewarding behavior that properly represents the core values

Negative influences on employee engagement

  • An unclear vision
  • (Top) management that does not work according to the core values
  • Lack of consequences if the core values are violated
  • New employees who do not strive to adhere to the core values
