2DAYSMOOD at the HR Summit & Expo in Dubai

Cooperating with organizations throughout the world to build a culture of happy and engaged employees: We are passionate about it! Several political and business leaders who drive happiness keep inspiring us, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai is one of them.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum is the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the ruler of the Emirate of Dubai. The UAE is one of the pioneers in the world to put the happiness of their citizens on top of the national agenda. Sheikh Mohammed´s strong belief that happiness is a lifestyle, is embedded in corporate happiness and positivity initiatives in the UAE Federal Government. In 2016, Sheikh Mohammed launched the National Happiness & Positivity Program, which includes three focus areas: Happy work environment, Happy government customer services & Happy communities.

In November, 2DAYSMOOD travelled to Dubai on a mission: To get into conversation with HR professionals about our award winning real-time method of measuring and improving employee happiness. What better way to do this, than at Happiness Street, the Dubai International Exhibition Center during the largest gathering of HR professionals in the Middle East. Throughout 3 consecutive days, we had the opportunity to engage in many interesting conversations, to participate in two TV interviews and to give a presentation of 2DAYSMOOD in the HR tech zone.

What an inspiring event! We loved speaking to the diversity of HR professionals from the region and beyond. We loved the engagement of visitors in our interactive mood & happiness exercises. We loved having platforms to present and position 2DAYSMOOD. But most of all, we loved to experience the enthusiasm and passion for employee happiness and engagement. CIPD has identified Employee Wellbeing, Happiness and Engagement to be one of the current top three strategic workforce priorities in the Middle East and this was clearly noticeable.

Many organizations in the UAE have implemented great initiatives that contribute to a culture of happy and engaged employees. However, at the same time there is a need for a more continuous approach of understanding the ROI of these initiatives and their impact on overall happiness. A continuous approach is needed to truly embed employee happiness in the organizational DNA and to get real-time feedback, insights and advice that spark action to constantly improve and/or maintain a culture of happy and engaged employees.
