Employee Happiness Model

Engaged and happy employees are a golden formula for a successful organization. But how do you ensure that employees are and remain involved and happy? In collaboration with Utrecht University, we have developed the Employee Happiness Model.

Why the Employee Happiness Model?

Many organizations wonder: how do we create a corporate culture in which happy and committed employees can thrive? Which board members, management, and HR do we have to engage with to achieve high employee involvement?

To help answer these questions, 2DAYSMOOD, together with Utrecht University, has conducted research into the universal factors that contribute to employee engagement and work happiness. The result is the Employee Happiness Model (EHM) that consists of 15 measurable drivers. This model is integrated into our unique measuring method of happiness at work and helps organizations to create a happy organization.

How can you apply the model?

The 15 drivers in the EHM are measurable variables that have a positive or negative impact on the happiness of employees within an organization. In your own organization or team, you can check how these themes are doing by using the model as a guideline. Important to remember here: apply different conditions and motivations for each type of employee.

To translate your commitment to a positive organizational culture directly into a data-driven action plan, it is useful to make these variables transparent at all times. Our real–time measurement method and 15-second survey help you with this at the organization, department, and team level.
